Johann Michael Huber (1715-1777) and his wife Barbara Lahr arrived in the New World with their family in the mid-1700s. Members of the Reformed Church, they settled in the Goshenhoppen settlement in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Some of their descendants apparently became Schwenkfelder or joined other fellowships.

Valentin Huber (1731-1810) of the same area, also Reformed, but of the Great Swamp congregation, lived with his wife Anna Barbara and their family across the line in Lehigh County, PA. Their son John Huber and grandson Jacob Huber, who had married Elizabeth Huber, settled in Fairfield County, Ohio. In this area their descendants joined the Mennonite Church and moved to Elida, Ohio. Descendants of this family included the ministers Clarence Huber of New Hamburg, Ontario, and Ira Huber of Whitechurch, Ontario, Daniel Huber of Texas, Nathan Huber of Kentucky, and more.
