Several 100th birthday parties were held in Marie’s honour and attended by her family, friends, residents and staff of Cedarwood Village. Marie was a longtime resident of Port Dover and spent countless volunteer hours in the community, including active membership in the Port Dover Branches of the Canadian Red Cross and Norfolk Hospital Auxiliary. She was a longtime dedicated member of Knox Presbyterian Church and the Heather Club. Marie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all her family and friends. At Marie’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Friday, May 30, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (afternoon only) at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, 519-583-1530.
