Gilbert Bearss (1848-1940)
Gilbert Bearss was ordained a minister of the Sherkston Mennonite congregation in Bertie Township, Welland County, Ontario, in May, 1885. With his wife and family, Gilbert moved to the Vineland area in 1895, and in 1917 they returned to Bertie.
