    • The Port Dover boat livery was started about 1900. Mid Thompson owned the boat livery in the 40s, he had the Sea Witch and the Johnny T and he owned thebrown cottage on the crick across from the Port Dover Fish Company where they built the first high cottage. Mid was an uncle of Jack Maytham, Minnie Thompson was Jack's mother. After Mid died Jack Maytham had the boat livery and Bunny Matthews worked for him. Bunny and Ruthie had an apartment upstairs. When Jack built the big boatworks he sold the boat livery to Bunny Matthews.
