Died in the Union Army "We were told by Minor Hoover, and I believe others, that Uncle Silas, Uncle George, and Uncle Benjamin worked their way through the woods and mountains until they crossed the Ohio River into Ohio, so they would not have to fight for Slavery and against their friends and neighbors,--but then later Uncle Benjamin was in the Union Army as a cook and died there of disease. ?
