      ca 1722 Birth, evidently in the Mannheim area of Baden in southern Germany, under the rule of the Kurpfalz (Electoral Palatinate).

      1737, 31 Oct, arrival at Philadelphia on the ship William under the direction of Captain John Carter.

      First lived with parents at the Cocalico settlement, Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

      ca 1745, marriage, but spouse unknown.

      Children, including Jacob Rhodes, names and dates unknown.

      1762, 22 July, land purchase and settlement along the turnpike, east of Mount Rock in what is now Franklin County, PA. (Until 1784, part of Cumberland County, PA.)
