ELEVATOR MISHAP FATAL TO EMPLOYEE OF BUICK MOTOR CO.
Nicholas Brick, aged 70, an employee of the Buick Motor Co., died at Hurley Hospital last evening from injuries he received about the abdomen yesterday morning, when he jumped on an elevator at the factory, with the intention of stopping it. Mr. Brick was born in Canada in December, 1852, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brick. He came to Michigan 21 years ago. He was married on Nov. 13, 1877 to Caroline Wagoner, at Fermosa, Ont. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Besides his wife he leaves six daughters, Mrs. Clark Embrey of Mancelona; Miss Bell Brick and Mrs. William Selton, Chicago. Mrs. Dolph Scharron, Grayling; Mrs George Thompson of Harvey Ill; Mrs Clayton Lessand of Flint; four sons, Albert of Los Angles, Cal., Cyrenus Brick of Flint; Joseph of Florida; Edward of Marquette; two sisters. and two brothers.
