  A Bernhard Nier and wife Maria Barbare Nier were baptismal sponsors of Johan Bernhard, son of Johannes Nier and Helena Nier, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cobleskill, NY, on 14 October 1796. It is possible that Barent and Barbara Neer moved to Lutheranville, NY, with son Charles Neer after 1795, and died there. If so, they are buried in the Neer Plot of the Lutheranville Cemetery.)
