MRS. RICHARD ADAMS
Port Dover: Mrs. Richard Adams, St. Patrick Street, died on Saturday at the Johnson Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness, in her 68th year.
Deceased was born in Sussex, England and was formerly Jessie Stoneham. Forty-eight years ago she married Mr. Adams and they came to Canada in 1913, settling in the Ridgetown district. In 1928 they moved to Port Dover, where she has since resided. Mrs. Adams was very active in Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge, being a Past Grand, possessor of a 15-year jewel, Degree of Chivalry of Ontario and L. A. P. M. Jewel, Hamilton (Cantons). She was a past president of the Port Dover Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, and a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, William of Port Dover and Theodore of Weston; two daughters, Mrs. M. Barabash (Leota), of Hamilton and Edith at home; her mother, Mrs. John Stoneham of Dunville; and one brother, Herbert Stoneham of Dunnville.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Thompson Funeral Home with Canon D. J. Cornish of St. Paul’s Anglican Church officiating, assisted by members of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge. Interment will be in Port Dover Cemetery.

Port Dover: The funeral of Mrs. Richard Adams was held from the Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon with Canon D. J. Cornish officiating, assisted by members of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge and the Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, who conducted rituals.

The guard of honor and flower bearers were members of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge and the Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary. The pall-bearers were Charles Bridgewater, Howard Guiler, Fred Hoskins, James Muth, James Morris and Frank Down. Interment was in Port Dover Cemetery.
