      CASTLES, William of Port Dover, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in his 84th year. Beloved husband to Helen (Powell) for 62 ½ years. Loving father and father-in-law of Jack and Diane of Simcoe, Shirley and Tony Laundrie of Port Dover, Doug of Port Dover, Bill Jr. of Simcoe and Betty and Jim Davison of Simcoe. Proud grandfather of Shane, Brooke, Dustin, Jimmy, Billy, Patricia, Shawn and great-grandfather of Michael, Kendra, Bo, Ryder, Nichole and Shelby. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Bob and Shirley Castles of Simcoe, Betty McQuillan of Port Dover, Patty and Jack Davison of Mississauga, Barbara and Dave Kilpatrick of Port Dover and Victor and Marie Powell of Dunnville. Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Bill was a long-time employee of Riddle Oil Co. He was a founding member of the 3 Hooks Club, a member of the RCL Branch #79, Simcoe, long-time member of the Reserve Army 56 Field Regiment 69th Battery, a life member of the Sgt. Mess, and a member of M.G.B.I. Club. He also was a long-time volunteer at Marburg Community Hall. Friends were invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Bill at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530) on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, June 15, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. A Service to Celebrate Bill’s life was held in the funeral home Chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday. The Reverend Jim Wencel officiated. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to the Who Did It Club would be greatly appreciated.
