    • Obituary - HARDING, Jeanne Elaine (nee Akins) – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, June 14th, 2008 in her 74th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Harding (2003). Loving mother and grandmother of Richard Harding and his wife Debbie of Walsh, their children Jamie (Michelle), Derrick (Michelle) & Joshua (Laurie); Ruthanne Ross and her husband Dominic of Hagersville, their children Blaise & Hannah; and Robert Harding and his wife Christine of Vittoria, their son Brandon. Proud great grandmother of Taylor, Bailey, Dylan, Hailey, Gavin & Chelsey. Jeanne is survived by her sister Joyce Clarke of Selkirk. Lovingly remembered by Raymond’s siblings, Marion Sherman of Vittoria, Jim Harding (Dorothy) of Cobourg as well as several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles (2001) & Florence (1966) Akins and by her step mother Mary Akins (2001). Jeanne was a 25 year member of the Eastern Star. Friends were invited to share their memories of Jeanne with her family at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. Eastern Star memorial service, Delhi Chapter No. 226 O.E.S., was held on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Cremation followed visitation and a memorial service was held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. from Woodhouse United Church with Rev. Frank Walker & Rev. Brian Elder officiating. Interment of Ashes: Port Dover Cemetery at a later date.
