Obituary - GILES, Joseph George. October 18th, 1948 – April 26th, 2012. Passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital at the age of 63. A well respected heavy equipment operator and 43-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793. Beloved son of the late Lily Giles and Ray Giles. Survived by his two children, Catherine Giles-Roman (Julio), Clinton Giles (Samantha) and his four grandchildren, Juliana, Calum, Cecilia and Lexee, and former spouse, Bettee Giles. Also survived by his five brothers, Ray, Gordon, Ron, Robert, and Rick Giles. Joe will be sadly missed. His notorious stubborn drive, determination, and distinctive personality let him do things his way till the grand finale. A celebration of his life, will be held at the Caledonia Lions Hall, 100 Haddington Street, Caledonia, Friday May 4th, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
