    • WALKER, Gordon Ernest, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2013, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer, at Norfolk General Hospital in his 69th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Gloria (August 2012). Cherished father and father-in-law of Marcia and Steve Bartlett of Simcoe, Rick and Lisa Walker of Port Dover and Bill Walker of B.C. Loving grandfather to Savannah and Matt LeBlanc, Christopher Bartlett and Jessica Barker, Hayden and Raine Walker, Addy and Seth Walker, Taigan and Matt Bombay and Tyler Walters, great-grandpa to Parker and Bradley LeBlanc and Bennett Bombay. “Hoop Iron” Gord will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by sisters Barb, Sue, Florence, Pat and brothers Harry and Murray, with special mention to “Aunt Pat” for her time, love, care and dedication. Gord was a lifetime fisherman and captain of the HH Misner and the BB Miller. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Iva Walker, brother, Jim and sister, Shirley. A Memorial Service to honour Gord’s life will be held at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530) on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow for Gord and Gloria at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.
