    • Obituary - SCOTT, Ruth. A life-long resident of Port Dover passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in her 91st year, at Dover Cliffs Long Term Care. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Robert (Bob) and Peggy of Port Dover, Alvin (Vinnie) and Sandra of Simcoe, William (Bill) and Glennis of Port Dover, Deanna of Port Dover and Thelma of Port Dover. Dearly loved grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 16. Predeceased by her husband Alvin, sons Russell (1951) and Charles (1991), sister Frances and her husband Warren. Ruth was a well-known resident in Port Dover; she was a lifetime member of Knox Presbyterian Church. She loved to bake and her family reaped the benefits. Family and friends were invited to share their memories of Ruth on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, 519-583-1530, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service honouring Ruth’s life was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, (Chapman & St. George Sts.) Port Dover on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. The Reverend Cathy Kay officiated. Interment Port Dover Cemetery.
