From Jo Oakes website - In 1861 Alexander with his wife and children James, William, Isabelle and Sarah travelled to Canada from Ireland. The family located on 150 acres of land on the 3rd concession, lot 22, Township of Woodhouse, Norfolk County. Alexander and his wife and their son, James and his wife lived at this location until their deaths. Alexander is not buried in Port Dover cemetery where his wife is buried with children.
