    • The late Mrs. J. T. Hagan - The funeral of the late Margaret Murphy, beloved wife of James T. Hagan, Woodhuse township, was held on Saturday, March 8th with service at the Thompson funeral home being in charge of Rev. G. E. Morley of Grace Church. The late Mrs. Hagan passed away at her home on Thursday, March 4th following many months of illness, also having been blind for many months. She was in her 76th year. Deceased was the daughter of the late James Murphy and Susan Carroll. The family resided in the village for a few years before returning to their former home in Woodhouse township on No. 6 highway. Mr. and Mrs Hagan formerly acted as caretakers of Norfolk Lodge temple, and Grace United Church. Besides her husband and a family of two sons, William of Simcoe and Thomas of St. George, she leaves four grandchildren, James, Thomas, William and inez, all of Simcoe; one great-grandchild; also three sisters, Mrs. Maude Ross, Port Dover, Mrs. Archie Long, Tillsonburg, and Mrs. Anna Swindell, of Detroit.
