    • The Simcoe Reformer, January 6, 1969 - JAMES LONG -Port Dover (Special) - Funeral service for James Long, 51, of Main St., Port Dover who died Thursday at Norfolk General Hospital, was held today at the Thompson Funeral Home. Born in Port Dover, he was the son of the late Earl Long and Olive Acomb, and attained the rank of Petty Officer with the RCN during World War 2. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Richard (Paulette) Porter of Port Dover, Betty Ann Long of Toronto; brothers, Earl of London; Lynden of St. Catharines; sisters Mrs. James (Macie) Robins of Nelles Corners and Mrs. John (Hazel) Harris of London. Rev. J. H. Vardy officiated, Interment was in the Port Dover Cemetery.
