Dianevch - That's me. My great great grandfather was Jacob Groh, son of Solomon, son of Peter. His daughter, Bertha married my Great grandfather Harry Cole in 1910. They moved around Michigan. They were in Hastings, Benton Harbor, Jackson and Coldwater after they were married in Sanilac County. My Grandpa Harry was living in the HH of his mother and step father Vern Batterson and Ellen Chamberlin Cole Batterson in 1910. Grandma Berthas father died in 1905 (Jacob Groh) and she went to work as hh help and fell in love with my Grandpa. They were married 74 years. She died in Feb 1984 in Coldwater, he lived another 5 years and died in 89 at the age of 96. I loved him very much. He was a good man and a GREAT Grandfather! He and Bertha are buried in Lockwood Cemetery outside Coldwater MI. They had three children. My Grandmother in 1911,Doris passed in 1999. John a year later in 1912 and Ellen in 1920. I am Doris oldest grandchild. She had two children. My Father and a daughter who married a Dr and became a missionary in India. I am happy to help anyone on my end of things.
