Obituary - RYERSE- Irene W. (nee Barnes) of Port Colborne passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on Monday May 7, 2012 in her 70th year. Loving wife of Richard (Dick) Ryerse, dear mother of Richard Jr. (Nancy) and Gord (Barb), loving grandmother of Amanda Ryerse, Christina Ryerse and Dylan Ryerse, great grandmother of Leia Ryerse (Porth) and Annie Ryerse (Pitul), sister of Ted (Claudia) Barnes, Robin (Mary) Barnes, Carol (Eddie) Falcioni, Janice (Gaetan) Morin, Kathy (Gaetan) Tremblay and Nancy (Barry) Matthews. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Dora Barnes. Born in New Liskeard she has lived in this area for many years. Irene enjoyed painting, decorating, knitting, crocheting, writing poetry and spending time with family and friends. Cremation will take place. The Ryerse family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME 135 Clarence St. Port Colborne on Friday May 11, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday May 12, 2012 from 12 noon until the time of service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Overholt Cemetery at a later date.
