Dear sister of Dooner (John Leslie) and Peggy. Predeceased by her parents, she was the eldest of Elmore and Janet Misner. Predeceased by her siblings, Ken, Hank, and Gord. Ellie touched many lives over the years with her personable style and compassion to help anyone in need. Born in Port Dover, Ont. she moved to Toronto in the mid 50s, first working at Dress Makers Supply, then going on to design and manufacture her own line of high-end ladies wear. In the early 70s with her sister Peggy, they opened Misner’s, a retail fish store located on Yonge St. Another store named Ogamaw was opened at Yonge and Summerhill, supplying the best restaurants, hotels and anyone who demanded the very best. Other businesses included Crystal Palace, a high-end vintage Art Glass and furniture shop. Ellie was a life-long gardener and was awarded “Best Garden” by the Oriole Park Neighbourhood Association. In keeping with Ellie’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
