    • Obituary - Edward Nunn

      NUNN, Edward Macdonald. Born in Port Dover, December 8, 1923, passed away November 21, 2006 in his 82nd year. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret (nee Tindal), daughter Peggy (Brian Scott) and son Cim (Lynn Keays). Adored gramps to Meredith, Alexander, Emma and Charlie. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Margaret Bennett and to the nursing staff on K1 East at Sunnybrook Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre would be greatly appreciated.

      NUNN, Elizabeth ‘Bettie’ ‘Andy’ of Port Dover, peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Friday, November 24, 2006 in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband John (2001). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Penne and John Sheppard of Raleigh, North Carolina. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Sheppard of Washington, D.C. Dear sister-in-law of James and Jean Nunn, Scott and Elvira Nunn all of Brantford, Mary Elizabeth Simmons of Port Dover and Margaret Nunn of Toronto, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by her dear friend Catherine Brown. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Chuck Simmons and Edward ‘Mac’ Nunn. Elizabeth was a long time member of the Women’s Institute. Her garden was her passion, second only to her devotion to her husband and family. Funeral Service to celebrate Elizabeth’s life was held Monday, November 27, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530), the family received friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Malcolm Muth officiated. Cremation followed. For those wishing memorial donations to the Lions Botanical Gardens would be greatly appreciated.
