    • Obituary - Charles Acton-Bond

      ACTON-BOND, Charles Herbert. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Charles Herbert Acton-Bond, V, 70, surrounded by his family at his home in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia on Sunday, June 10, 2007. Born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, he was the son of the late Charles and Minnie (Gamble) Acton-Bond. Charles was a successful entrepreneur and marine contractor who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed sharing many great dreams. He moved to Lunenburg in 1998 to work with Tallships, and in 2001 he and his wife Karen opened Senators B and B. Charles will be greatly missed by his family who were such an important part of his life. He is survived by his wife the former Karen Trent, daughters Mary (Jason McNaught), Ottawa, Katie (Neil Johnston), Ottawa, Rebecca (Euen Moore, St. John’s Nfld, Alexandria (Michael Francis), Lunenburg, niece Susan (Daniel Scott), Bermuda; sister Mary (Fred Harris) of Ottawa, and twin brother, Michael of Ottawa. A service to celebrate Charles’ life will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Bachman’s Beach. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bytown Brigantine Tall Ships Youth Sailing Program or to Nova Scotia Lung Association, through the Dana L.
