Backus - McCandrew
At 4 O'clock Saturday afternoon December 5, at the parsonage of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Auburn, Miss Betty Backus, daughter of Frank Backus of Auburn became the bride of Thomas McCandrew, son of James McCandrew of this village. Rev. Clarence Lamen officiated. The bridal couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Archie Black. The bride was attired in green taffeta with gold accessories and carried gold colored pom poms. Mrs. Black was dressed in royal blue satin with silver accessories and carried yellow pom poms.
Mr. and Mrs. McCandrew will make their home in this village.
