Obituary - MISNER, Joan G. of Port Dover on Monday, December 4, 2006 surrounded by the love of her family at Dover Cliffs Nursing Home, in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Oral (1993). Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Sheila Miller of Port Dover and Marion and Paul Cober of Simcoe. Dear sister of Marion Doty of Brantford. Loving grandmother of Jeff Miller and friend Lori, Heather Jo Causyn and her husband Jeff, Kim Cober Souza and her husband Geraldo, Chris Cober and his wife Sherri and great-grandmother of Adrian, Corey, Callum, Kyle, Nathan, Caleb, Alexandra, Caique and Tarsila. Predeceased by her parents George and Gertrude Patte and by her son-in-law Sieg Miller. Joan was an honourary member of the Port Dover Yacht Club, for many years a member of the Simcoe Curling Club and Norfolk Golf and Country Club. She was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #158, Port Dover and a member of Grace United Church. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530). Funeral Service for Mrs. Misner will be Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home Chapel. The Reverend Murray Rounding officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery.
