      MacDONALD, Donald Landon Ivey, of Port Dover. Passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Dover Cliffs Nursing Home in his 78th year. Loving and devoted husband of Muriel for 56 years. Cherished father of Rod and his wife Dorothy of Hampton, N.B. and Patricia Perrott of Oakville. Much loved grandfather of Andrew, Mark, Nathan and Jake, great grandfather of Nolan. Dear brother of Sue Anderton of Massaschusetts. Predeceased by his parents Hugh MacDonald and Stella MacDonald Henry, and step-parents Mary MacDonald and Malcolm Henry, and grandson Michael. Don spent his life in law enforcement, he worked with the Sarnia City Police Department for 32 years, retiring as the Deputy Chief. He was a life member and Past Master of the Victoria Lodge #56 A.F. & A.M. and esteemed member and Past President of the Norfolk Shrine Club, he was also an affiliate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #158. Friends and family were invited for visitation on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, 519-583-1530. Masonic service was held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial Service for Don to celebrate his life was Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Rev. Frank Walker officiated. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
