POWELL, Marie Dora – peacefully, at Dover Cliffs Nursing Home, Port Dover, on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband Robert (2003). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Jim and Bonnie of Niagara Falls, David and June of Burlington and Nancy Randall of Port Dover. Cherished grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of 11. Dearly loved sister of Nellie Sicklesteel of Townsend, sister-in-law of Isabel Powell and Peggy and George Burcham, all of Port Dover. Predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Marie was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church for many years. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, October 19, 2007, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, 519-583-1530. A service to celebrate Marie’s life will be Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, (St. George and Market Sts.). Father Kendall Reimer officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Anglican Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
