Simcoe Reformer - June 21, 1965 - EARL FRANCIS LONG - Port Rowan: Earl Francis Long 74, died Friday at his home, College Ave., Port Rowan. Son of the late Archibald Long and Mary Murphy, deceased was born in Woodhouse Township. For a number of years he farmed on Highway 6 four miles east of Port Dover and later operated a tile drilling and ditching machine. His first wife was the late Olive Acomb and his second wife Ruby Rohrer Demarary, also predeceased him. Surviving are three sons, James George Long of Milton, Earl Francis Long of London and Lynden Archibald Long of St. Catharines; two daughters, Mrs. James Robbins (Macie) of Milton and Mrs. Jack Harris (Hazel) of London; two sisters, Mrs. R. E. Smith (Hazel) of Aylmer and Mrs. Jack Cowell (Inez) of Tillsonburg; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Service from the C. L. Clark Funeral Chapel today at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. S. Lowden of Port Rowan Baptist Church officiating and interment in Port Dover Cemetery.
