      Passed away peacefully on Sunday May 23, 2010 at the Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care Unit. She was born on November 23, 1927. She was predeceased by her parents DeRutha (Manuel) and Gordon Cook, her brother Ralph and son Gordon. Beloved wife of 64 years to Hazen Cronk and loving mother to DeRutha (Ron Dupuis), Linda (Ken Roth), Elizabeth (Hans Leppik), Joseph (Liz), and David. Mother-in-law to Connie Walker (Gordon). She will be missed by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Lois was born and raised in Brantford, working at Massey - Harris during the war before completing Teacher’s College and teaching in Haldimand County. She and Hazen spent an enjoyable 7 years teaching in the North - Pagwa River west of Hearst and Moose River Crossing south of Moosonee. While in those isolated communities Lois taught Sunday School for the children and held a variety of classes for the women. She was a faithful member of the Brethren In Christ Church in Cheapside and taught 4-H for many years while living in the Fisherville area. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd. 60 Main St. S. Hagersville on Wednesday May 26, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Cheapside Brethren In Christ Church on Thursday May 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Bethel Cemetery, Kohler. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Cheapside Brethren In Christ Church or to the Palliative Care Unit (DVD Players) at the Brantford General Hospital.
