- ROTH, Francis Lester - Passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at his residence People Care Centre, Tavistock. He was born in North Easthope Township August 5, 1919 and was the son of the late John S. and Maryann (Steiner) Roth. Francis farmed at Lot 21 Concession 8, North Easthope Township until moving to Tavistock in May 1978. He was a member of the North Easthope Reformed Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife the former Fern Irene Cusler, whom he married March 15, 1953 in Port Colborne, son Glenn and wife Marlene of Shakespeare, daughter Linda and husband Wayne Stock of Tavistock, grandchildren Lyndsey Roth, Michael Stock and friend Kirsten Eikerman, Adam Stock and friend Jess Simons and great-grandchildren Rise and Azara. Remembered by his sisters Mary Jantzi of New Hamburg, Shirley and husband Robert Young of Welland, Pearl and husband Joseph Young of New Hamburg, sister-in-law Mildred Roth of Kitchener and brother-in-law Paul C. Fehrman of Port Colborne. Francis was predeceased by a son Keith (2006), step-mother Hettie (Gingerich) Roth, brother Earl (1987), sister Marjorie Fehrman (1980), brother-in-law Walter Jantzi.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. at North Easthope Reformed Mennonite Church where Allan Bankert and Gene Beehler will officiate.
