This would be the first illigitimate child of Letita Cole, born Ireland, who came to Hamilton by way of Quebec on the vessel Montreal on October 7, 1887. Simply listed illegitimate he must have still been alive in 1959 when he would have been turning 70, then the age to collect Old Age Pension, and had to prove his birth. The second illigitimate child, Henry, born February 27, 1891 at the same hospital, same mother, is listed with her on the 1891 Census of St. Stephens Ward, Toronto West, Ontario
