Hijackers Get 80 Barrels Of Kewaunee Beer
Chicago - (AP) - A truck driver told police he was kidnaped early today and the $1,500 cargo of beer he was transporting to Chicago from the Kewaunee Brewery Company, Kewaunee, Wis, seized by three men.
The victim is Francis Newby, a driver employed by the O. K. Motor Service company of Chicago. He said he had stopped at his home here and that when he prepared to resume his journey the men drove up in an automobile and covered him with revolvers.
While two of the hijackers drove him around the city for an hour Newby said the third man drove away with the truck on which were piled 80 barrels of beer. Police found the truck later - with its cargo missing.
