      OBITUARY - Mr. Frank Lawson

      CONCORD - Frank Milburn Lawson, 75, of 317 S. Union St., Concord, died unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at his home.

      The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Graveside services will be Monday, Dec. 29 at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Fla. with Masonic rites.

      The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Whitley’s Funeral Home.

      Born April 29, 1928, in Chattanooga, Tenn., he was the son of the late Hobart Lawson and the late Lilly Lawson. He was employed with the Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds Office in Charlotte for many years. He was a mason, active with the Yorke & Scottish Rites of Freemasonry in North Carolina as well as a member of the Morocco Shrine Temple in Jacksonville, Fla.

      He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He was also a resident of Concord since 1970. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

      Survivors include his two daughters, Sandi Cannon and husband John of Rockwell and Lynn Lineberger and husband Jeff of Jefferton, Va.; the mother of the children, Joyce Brewe of Melbourne, Fla.; and three grandchildren, John Wilson Cannon, Erica Lineberger and Daniel Griffin.
