Lilly and Vic were both born and raised in Rainham Township, Haldimand County, Ontario. She was a school teacher, and later a homemaker. He engaged in farming, their farm being located on Lots 8 & 9, Concession 2 of Rainham Township along Rainham Road. Lilly has always been interested in the history of her ancestors, and gave the author his first encouragement along these lines. She survives her husband, and lives at their home in Rainham Township. Lilly and Vic had no children of their own, but adopted and raised three children, Jean born March 19, 1941, Craig born January 8, 1945, and Rick. Victor is buried in the Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, Fisherville, Ontario
