  Wide disparity in estimated date of birth between Davis at www.mennosearch.com and Regina Sherk article in Jan. 2007 issue of PMH (page 26). Davis indicated birth date closer to 1725. Davis speculates that he is son of Ulrich (1693) and grandson of Caspar (1657). However, Davis also lists an Uli Sherk as marrying a Maria Grundbacher. As other internet sources make these two Ulrich's the same. I am excepting their research. Advise further clarification if this is your family line. The Schoerg family originates from the Sumiswald district in Bern, Switzerland.
