Selkirk Sentinel Tuesday, March 9th, 1937
Another life-long resident of Selkirk, Mr. Lewis Hurst, passed away Thursday afternoon after a lengthy illness for a number of years he had been badly crippled by rheumatism.
Mr. Hurst was in his 72nd year and leaves to mourn his wife and two adopted children, Mrs. Howard Anguish and Miss Betty.
The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from his residence at 2:30 o'clock. The service was conducted by Mr. Emery Shank, of Sweets Corners and interment took place in the Selkirk Union Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Wm. Featherstone, Wm. McFarlane, L. H. Effinger, Herbert H. Rushton, Tillman Dennis and Ai Dell.
The community extends its sympathy to Mrs. Hurst and family.
