      Ezekiel Edwin Phillips

      The death of Ezekiel Edwin Phillips occurred at his home in St. Catharines on Friday, June 19th, 1936 in his 96th year. The late Mr. Phillips taught school in Selkirk Village over Seventy-five years ago and operated a drug store in the present Hilborn block, which he built, for over a period of forty years. His wife predeceased him twenty-three years ago. Five sons and two daughters survive him. C. E. Phillips of St. Catharines, William R. Phillips of Kindersley, Sask., and George, Blaine and Roy Phillips of Tonawanda, N.Y., Mrs. B. Lindsay of Buffalo and Mrs. Frank Field of Bellview, Penn. One son, R. W. Phillips, predeceased him twelve years ago.

      Four sons and two grandsons acted as pall bearers at the funeral which was held in Selkirk on Sunday, June 21st
