  Obadiah and Nathaniel Dennis inherited from their father Ezekiel Dennis the western part of Point Abino, Bertie Township. Obadiah's share seems to have passed to one Ezekiel Dennis, perhaps a son. Ezekiel sold 250 acres in the front of Lots 33 and 34 in 1835. Obadiah Dennis made out his will April 25, 1816, and it was probated January 31, 1822. He names his wife Prudence and children Ezekiel, Keziah, Sarah, Julia, Abigail, and son in law Thomas Rice.
