This is to inform you that I should like to know if the lot No. 10 in the first Con of Walpole Clergy Reserve is entered to any one in your office or not as I am Wanting to Get that lot and Should like to know what it is prised at and when it is to be sold and how much is to be paid down When sold for I want to be the Purchiser there is a family settled on that lot and is about leaving it and I should like to know if I Can settle on it and improve It and have the first Chence of It When Sold I Should Like you to Write imediately an Answer.

Solomon Grow and family are on the 1851-52 Census and the 1861 Census of Walpole Twp., Haldimand County. In 1851 they have children Ambrose 7, Elizabeth 5, Janet 3 and John 1; In 1861 they have children Ambrose, Elizabeth, Janette, John, Margaret, Jacob, Lucinda and Caroline.
Solomon Groh and family are on the 1871 Census of Malahide Twp., Elgin County. By this time John is the oldest child living at home. The children include John, Margaret, Jacob, Lucinda, Caroline, Jane, Mary and Alma. The oldest son Ambrose appears to be married to Harriet and living just west of them.
