  John Swarts worked at his father Samuel Swarts' Sawmill on the Sandusk Creek, Lot 17, Con 1, Walpole, which he was to inherit. He was killed in a sawmill accident leaving a 3 year old son Samuel and a 1 year old son John. His son John eventually inherited the mill, which he sold to his Uncle James Dennis
