  • Notes

    • Anna Hoover was taken to Markham about the time her mother died in 1837, where she was raised by her Uncle John Hoover and his wife Christina Byer. After John's death in 1849 she returned to the Selkirk area for a time. About 1858 she married Samuel Wismer of South Cayuga Township, a widower with two children. Samuel died in September of 1858 and Anna returned to the Markham area where she married Joseph Sherk Wideman in August of 1859.
