  From Hoover Heritage Commemorative Calendar July 2006 SAMUEL AND ESTHER MILLER HOUSE, SELKIRK This house was the home of Samuel Miller and Esther (Byer) Miller. According to their grandson Floyd Miller it was the first house built on Erie Street South in Selkirk, probably shortly after they purchased the property in 1877. Samuel and Esther Miller were the parents of Alfred, Elizabeth, George, Susannah, Lydia, Isabella and Alexander "Shiner" Miller.
