      He was the son of John and Nancy Hoover, he lived in Gainsboro Township, just across the townline from Pelham. He married Eliza B. Mogwood of Gainsboro and they had three children David, Winnie and Irene. Sid and Eliza joined the Church at Pelham in 1907 under the revival by Evangelist John B. Zook.

      They attended the Church faithfully and Eliza was one of the older Members still at Pelham when the Church was moved to Boyle. Sidney was a farmer and farmed around one hundred acres of land.

      Sid was born 1850 and died 1922, Eliza was born 1868 and died in 1950.
