  From Ezra E. Eby's 1895 History of Waterloo County: Nancy Keller was born in 1817 and died December 22nd, 1865. She was married to Jacob Haas who was born July 28th, 1802 and died May 31st, 1863. They, after their marriage, moved on her father's farm where he followed farming and working at his trade, shoemaking. They had a family of eight children namely Magdalena married to John Heppler, Lydia married to John Ahruf, Henry married to Miss Derling, Isaac married to Fannie Neuman, Jacob, Mary married to John Wiegand, Nancy, and Moses married to Anna Schmidt.
