Notes - Michael Schenk was the first Mennonite Minister in Rainham Township.
From an article in Mennonite Family History, January 1986, by Robert J. Shank article:
Application dated January 1816 made by Michael Shank of Rainham Township for a "grant of waste land" from the Crown. In it he stated that he was born in Pennsylvania, was about 60 years of age, came into the province from Pennsylvania in 1800, that he brought a wife and ten children, and had never received any land from the government.
- Michael Schenk was the first Mennonite Minister in Rainham Township.
