Drowned at Simcoe

The body of Frank Long, an inmate of the County Home, was discovered in the pond near the long bridge Wednesday afternoon by John Colby, bus driver.

Long was sixty years of age, and a well known character in the Township of Woodhouse, and come to the home about two months ago, being partially paralized.

He left the home on Saturday last and went to the house of Edward Nichol, brick mason, to spend the night. Early the next morning he left the house, and had not been seen till his lifeless body was taken from the pond Wedneday.

Dr. Hayes, Coroner, decided an inquest was unnecessary, as the deceased was insane.

Apparently the body had been in the water for two or three days.
